Mark Hafner has been a key figure at Celtic Capital since 1985, taking on several pivotal roles before becoming the Company’s President and CEO in 1995. With a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Mr. Hafner began his professional journey as an Auditor with Security Pacific Business Credit.
A well-respected leader in the asset-based lending industry, Mr. Hafner has been deeply involved with the Secured Finance Network (SFNet), formerly known as the Commercial Finance Association. Over the years, he has held numerous influential positions within the organization, including:
- Chairperson of the Convention Program Committee (2001)
- Chairperson of the Membership Committee (2002)
- Chairperson of the Entrepreneurial Finance and Factoring Committee (2003-2004)
- Director (Since 2000)
- Executive Committee Member (2002-2004)
- President (2009) and Chairman (2010) of SFNet
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the secured finance industry, Mr. Hafner was inducted into the Secured Finance Network Hall of Fame in 2021.
Mr. Hafner has also been a major force in SFNet Southern California, where he served as Secretary/Treasurer (1997-2000), President (2001-2002), and Chairman (2002-2003). His dedication to the asset-based lending community continues to make a significant impact.
